Actvation
Before you go to China, you have to activate your Mobile Translation Traveler Edition Card. The Activation process consists of two parts:
- Enter the 16 digit card number (on the front of the card) and the pin-code that you find under the scratch-panel on the back of the card, then press the activate button
- Complete your personal details and set up your online account. This enables you to check for instance the balance of your Mobile Translation card online. You need to complete this part to activate the ETAC feature of your card.
To activate your Mobile Translation Traveler Edition Card, you need to activate the card and setup your personal Mobile Translator Account.

Enter your card-number and hang up the phone. The call-back system will assign a interpreter and call you back within minutes. Besides the prepaid value of translation minutes (40+ minutes per card), Mobile Translator Travel Edition comes with a free additional Emergency Translation Assistance Cover (ETAC).
ETAC Information
Mobile Translator Travel Edition Card comes with the free Emergency Translation Assistance Cover or ETAC. In the event that you have used up your minutes on your Mobile Translator Card, ETAC covers sudden emergencies such as unexpected hospital needs, doctor’s visits or accidents. Normal daily travel conversations of a non urgent or non life threatening/medical nature are not covered.
Call Back Information
In order to minimize waiting-time and call-costs, Mobile Translator Travel Edition comes with a Call Back System. When you’re in need of an Interpreter, call the Mobile Translator service number on your card. This is a local Chinese number, with an English menu. You can call this number with any phone: your own mobile phone, a gsm borrowed from a bystander, or any phone that you have at hand. The Call back system will recognize the number you’re calling from and ask you whether you want to be called back on this number or another number. After your registration the Call Back System assigns an interpreter, builds up all necessary connections and connect you with an interpreter. By setting up the connections this way, we ensure to serve you as effective as possible. Assigning and setting up connections normally takes around 30-60 seconds.
Chinese SIM card Information
